Terms of Service

Effective 19 October 2026 · Last updated 19 October 2026

1.Agreement and Operator

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Structor website, desktop application, AI agents, subscriptions, Structor Credits, and related developer tools.

Structor is operated by Structor Labs, a company registered in South Africa.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Structor, you agree to these Terms.

If you use Structor on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer or data protection rights applicable to you.

2.The Structor Service

Structor is an AI-assisted developer tool that can help users:

  • Inspect console errors and failed network requests.
  • Understand application errors in plain language.
  • Analyse code and project structures.
  • Generate and modify code.
  • Run authorised commands, tests, and development tasks.
  • Investigate bugs and evaluate possible fixes.
  • Use supported AI models and agents.

Structor’s AI features can be used in two ways:

  • Your own API key — the AI Assistant connects directly to Anthropic or OpenAI using an API key you provide. That usage is billed by the provider under your own agreement with it, not by Structor.
  • STRUCTOR AI — Structor’s managed coding agent, included with paid plans and metered in Structor Credits. No API key is required.

Features depend on your subscription, selected agent, permissions, operating environment, and supported integrations.

Structor provides assistance, not a guarantee of correctness. AI-generated recommendations and changes may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, or unsuitable for your project.

3.Eligibility and Account Security

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the law applicable to you.

You agree to provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

You must not share account access in a way that breaches your subscription terms or use another person’s account without permission.

You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, fraud, abuse, or legal requirements.

4.Subscriptions and Structor Credits

Structor offers a Free plan and a Pro plan, and may offer other plans in future. The price, billing interval, features, credit allocation, and limits are disclosed on the pricing page and at checkout.

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan includes the Structor desktop application and the AI Assistant using your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. Usage through your own key is billed by that provider, not by Structor. Your key is stored in your operating system’s keychain on your device and is not sent to Structor.

The Free plan does not include Structor Credits or access to STRUCTOR AI.

Free plan features may change prospectively, subject to reasonable notice and applicable law.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan costs US$15 per month (plus any taxes calculated at checkout) and includes STRUCTOR AI with 500 Structor Credits per billing period, together with the features described on the pricing page. You can continue to use your own API key on the Pro plan.

To keep usage and costs predictable, Pro usage is subject to:

  • A weekly limit of 175 included credits per week (weeks reset on Monday at 00:00 UTC).
  • A hard monthly cap: when your included credits or monthly usage cap are reached, STRUCTOR AI stops until your next billing period unless you have turned on top-up (section 4.4). Your account shows your remaining credits and limits.
  • Automatic throttling: when your usage is running ahead of your billing period, the Auto setting uses lower-cost models. You can still choose a specific model, which is never substituted without your knowledge.

The final allowance, prices, currency, and any additional usage arrangements are displayed before purchase.

4.3 Credit Consumption and Expiry

Structor Credits measure access to supported AI features. They are not currency or a bank balance and are not transferable between accounts.

Credit consumption depends on the model used, task complexity, the amount of input and output processed, and the time and tools the agent uses.

When a STRUCTOR AI task starts, the maximum number of credits it may use is reserved from your balance. When the task ends, finishes early, or is cancelled, you are charged only for the usage actually incurred — never more than the amount reserved — and the rest is returned to your balance. If a task cannot be started, nothing is charged.

Unused credits allocated as part of a monthly subscription expire at the end of that billing period and do not roll over.

Structor does not currently sell separate credit packs. If they are offered in future, their expiry rules will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

Your account dashboard and the desktop application display your available credits, weekly usage, limits, and reset dates.

4.4 Recurring Billing, Payments, and Top-up

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and the Paddle Buyer Terms apply to your purchase. You authorise the processing of the subscription charges disclosed to you at checkout.

Top-up is optional and off by default. It lets STRUCTOR AI continue after your included credits or weekly limit are used up. It only applies if you (a) turn it on in your account dashboard, set a monthly spending limit and confirm your consent, and (b) allow it for the individual task in the desktop application. Top-up usage is charged at US$1.50 per 100 credits (or the rate shown in your dashboard when you turn it on), is never charged beyond your spending limit, and is added to your next subscription invoice through Paddle. Top-up is not available while a payment is overdue. You can turn it off at any time.

We will not rely on a subscription alone as permission to impose undisclosed overage charges.

4.5 Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund requests are governed by the Structor Refund & Cancellation Policy, available through the Structor website.

Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

5.AI Agents and Model Selection

STRUCTOR AI currently uses Anthropic as its AI provider (Claude models, run through Anthropic’s managed agent service) to process user requests. When you use your own API key, your requests go from the desktop application directly to the provider you chose (Anthropic or OpenAI) under your agreement with that provider.

For STRUCTOR AI you can choose Auto (Structor picks a suitable model for each task, preferring lower-cost models), Economy (lowest credit use), or Manual (you choose the model). Auto never switches you to a more expensive model without your choice.

Agent availability, capabilities, pricing, and performance may vary.

AI outputs may be incorrect or inconsistent, and an agent may fail to complete a task. You are responsible for evaluating the results before relying on them.

Anthropic’s processing of information submitted through Structor is subject to its applicable privacy policy, service terms, and data-handling arrangements, as described further in the Structor Privacy Policy.

6.Local and Remote Execution

Structor supports both local and remote execution, depending on the selected feature and agent.

6.1 Local Execution

The desktop application works with project folders you choose to link. It can read those files, run the terminals and development servers you start, and apply changes you approve. When you use your own API key, the context sent to the provider is shown to you for review before it is sent, commands suggested by the AI need your approval before they run, and proposed code changes are applied only for the parts you approve, with a backup you can undo.

Local execution does not necessarily mean that all information remains on your computer.

6.2 Remote Execution (STRUCTOR AI)

STRUCTOR AI runs in an isolated cloud environment, not on your computer. The first time you use it with a project, the application asks you to confirm before any files are shared. To perform a task, a copy of the project’s files, your request, and any context you attach (such as errors, failed requests, or selected elements) is transmitted to Structor’s servers and to Anthropic.

The copy excludes files ignored by the project’s .gitignore, dependency and build folders, version-control data, and secret files such as .env files and private keys. You can exclude additional files in the project settings. The cloud environment has no general internet access (only package registries), and the uploaded copy is deleted from the provider once the task ends.

The agent can run commands in its cloud environment — with your approval for each command if you choose. It does not change files on your computer directly: its changes are returned as a proposed change set for you to review, and only the parts you approve are applied. Files you changed locally while the task was running are not overwritten.

6.3 User Authorisation and Risks

You must only connect systems and files you own or are authorised to access.

Depending on permissions and the feature used, an agent may read or modify files, run commands, install dependencies, execute tests, or affect a development environment.

These actions may cause unintended changes, including deleted files, broken dependencies, exposed information, or service disruption.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups, using version control where appropriate, reviewing important changes, and ensuring that access permissions are suitable for the task.

You should use extra safeguards for production systems and confidential or regulated data.

7.User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the source code, files, and other content you own or are authorised to use.

You grant Structor a limited right to access, process, transmit, and use that content as necessary to provide the service you request, maintain security, and comply with applicable law.

You do not transfer ownership of your source code to Structor merely by using the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit and process any employer-owned, client-owned, confidential, or third-party materials.

AI-generated output may not be unique and may be subject to third-party rights or licences. Ownership and protection of generated output depend on applicable law and the circumstances of its creation.

You are responsible for reviewing output for security issues, licence obligations, attribution requirements, and suitability for your intended use.

8.Privacy and AI Processing

Your use of Structor is subject to the Structor Privacy Policy, available through the Structor website.

Relevant code, prompts, files, error messages, logs, and command output may be processed by Structor and Anthropic where necessary to perform a requested task.

By using features that require this processing, you acknowledge that relevant information may be transmitted to and processed by Anthropic in accordance with the applicable service terms and privacy arrangements.

You must not submit information you are not authorised to share.

Data retention and processing practices are subject to the applicable policies, contractual terms, and service configuration. Further information is provided in the Structor Privacy Policy.

9.Acceptable Use

You must not use Structor to:

  • Access systems, files, or data without authorisation.
  • Create or facilitate unlawful malware, credential theft, or unauthorised intrusion.
  • Circumvent subscription limits, credit controls, or payment mechanisms.
  • Interfere with the security or availability of Structor or third-party systems.
  • Violate another party’s intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality rights.
  • Use Structor for unlawful activity or in breach of applicable regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Structor infrastructure or other users’ accounts.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, subject to applicable law.

10.Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will always work.

Structor depends in part on Anthropic, infrastructure providers, operating systems, and internet connectivity.

We may modify or discontinue features for security, maintenance, technical, legal, or business reasons.

Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide notice or an appropriate remedy where required by applicable law or the terms of purchase.

11.Disclaimers and Responsibility for Output

Structor is an AI-assisted development tool, not a substitute for human review, professional judgement, security testing, or suitable software development practices.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that generated code will be accurate, secure, original, production-ready, or free from third-party rights claims.

You should review and test code and commands before relying on them, particularly before deploying changes to production.

Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Structor will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service where such exclusion is legally permitted.

Subject to applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Structor for the affected service during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

13.Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of Structor, your infringement of third-party rights, or your material breach of these Terms.

This clause does not make you responsible for losses caused by Structor’s own unlawful conduct or remove any non-excludable statutory rights.

14.Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Structor and cancel your subscription in accordance with the Structor Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address serious or repeated violations, fraud, security threats, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

Where appropriate and legally required, we will notify you of the reason and provide an opportunity to address the issue.

On termination, paid access and remaining credits will be treated in accordance with the applicable plan, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and law.

Account closure and data deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.

15.Third-Party Services

Structor relies on third-party services to operate and provide certain functionality, including Anthropic for AI processing and Paddle for payment processing. Other infrastructure, authentication, monitoring, and developer service providers may also be used; these are listed in the Privacy Policy. If you use your own API key, your use of that provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) is governed by your own agreement with it.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

Nothing in this section excludes Structor’s own responsibilities under these Terms or applicable law.

16.International Users and Governing Law

Structor is intended for use by individuals and businesses in multiple countries. Your use of Structor may therefore be subject to consumer protection, privacy, data protection, and other laws applicable in your country or region.

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without prejudice to any mandatory legal protections that apply to you under the laws of another jurisdiction.

Where applicable law grants you consumer rights that cannot be waived or restricted by contract, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, limit, or override those rights.

Any dispute concerning these Terms or your use of Structor will be handled by the courts or other dispute-resolution bodies with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in a court where they are legally entitled to do so.

Structor’s operation from South Africa does not necessarily displace mandatory legal requirements in other countries, including applicable requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK data protection law, or other local consumer and data protection laws.

17.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, pricing, integrations, or applicable law.

We will publish the revised Terms and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide advance notice or obtain consent for material changes.

Your continued use constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18.General Provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permitted.

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and applicable plan-specific terms govern your use of Structor, subject to any separate written agreement that expressly applies.
